The Vineyard: Owned by Campbell and Christine Penfold. Proper 'village' wine. Grown on the boundary of the Balnarring Village on Warrawee Rd. East facing slope, low yields, concentrated fruit, terrific site.

Palate: Bright, slightly crunchy Pinot, darker fruits, highly aromatic, nuance of stems, gentle flavours, plump, spice, supple, charming.

Vintage Conditions: A mild season with a lovely aromatics, plumpness, charm and fine tannins. Quite fine and composed,good natural acidity. Perhaps a bit more charm and perfume than past few vintages.

Cellaring: Buxom and bright now. Brooding and naughty later. 4-6 years.

Analysis: 13.0 Alc/Vol, pH 3.63, 6.8g/L
